Waiting For Inspiration
We are on our boat in Miami hoping to go to the Bahamas soon. The most important thing is to have the right weather for a smooth passage. With bad seas, we will have a rough sail, and perhaps sick stomachs. With smooth seas, and the right weather, we will have a good sail, and happy passengers.
So my husband and I sit here and wait. There isn’t any way we can control the weather, but we can control our time waiting. This got me thinking about waiting for the right idea. The right brand, the right content.
A few women I connect with in business are now taking a step back to rebrand or clarify their brand for their business. They are taking some time to notice the inspiration. There is so much pressure to get your new years goals DONE, that you forget, it takes inspiration to set one foot forward.
Are you fully inspired? Or do you need some quiet time for your inspiration?
Here are some things you can do while you are waiting for your inspiration:
1) Journal – A daily journal on how your are feeling about your online business is so important. Your business is a reflection of your soul. Your voice will resonate with your clients. Journalling helps your find your voice, so you can better connect with your clients.
2) Meditate – Take some time to sit in quiet. In the quiet comes the ideas you will need. Set a timer for 3-5 minutes. Practice quieting the mind, and just concentrating on the breath. After your meditation, journal your ideas.
3) Connect – Connect with other women in who are running online businesses. You can get an accountability partner. If you need help finding an accountability partner, email me at lesley@femaleonlinebiz.com ,
4) Draft– Write draft copies of your content, you courses, your book. Whatever you want to explore. Draft copies are a great way to get your thoughts down on paper (or computer). Drafts can be used as beginnings of the real copy, or just thrown out. The draft copies are for you alone.
5) Prepare – You will have a break through. In the meantime, prepare for when that happens. Clear space, clean you desk, clear your inbox. Be ready. Your inspiration is right around the corner.
6)Time Limit – Give yourself a time limit to find your inspiration. With a little internal pressure, your inspiration will all of a sudden be right in front of you!
My husband Gary and I are preparing for our trip to the Bahamas. We have a full freezer, water tank, fuel and a lot of patience. When we get the right weather, we are ready to go. I hope you are prepared for your inspiration and enjoy the time waiting. It will be fun and busy once you get moving.
Best to you,
Lesley
